Overview

Artisans, Farmers & Village Life

Step away from the coast and discover a quieter, more authentic side of the French Riviera. This private journey takes you into the preserved mountain villages of the Alpes-Maritimes, where traditional ways of life, local craftsmanship, and close-knit communities are still part of everyday life.

Rather than simply visiting villages, this experience is an invitation to meet the people who keep these traditions alive.

An Authentic Encounter. This experience goes beyond sightseeing. Depending on the season and availability, your day may include encounters with local farmers, artisans, producers, or village residents, offering a genuine insight into the traditions and daily life of the region.

From mountain agriculture and traditional crafts to local food and village stories, every encounter adds a personal dimension to the journey.

Peillon

A Village Suspended in Time

Begin in Peillon, one of the most beautifully preserved perched villages of the region. Built dramatically into the mountainside, its stone houses, narrow passageways, and ancient architecture create the feeling of stepping back in time.

Meet local residents and discover the traditions, stories, and way of life of this remarkable mountain community.

Traditions & Local Know-How

Continue to Lucéram, a charming medieval village surrounded by forests and mountains. Beyond its historic streets and stone houses, discover local traditions and, depending on the season and availability, meet farmers, producers, or artisans who continue to practice traditional crafts and work the surrounding land.

Coaraze

Art, Nature & Village Life

Discover Coaraze, one of the most remarkable villages in the French Riviera hinterland, renowned for its exceptional setting, artistic heritage, and sunny Mediterranean atmosphere.

Known for its remarkable collection of artistic sundials, created by renowned local and contemporary artists, Coaraze transforms the passage of time into an open-air art experience.

Explore the village's picturesque streets and discover the Blue Chapel (Chapelle Bleue), an intimate and unexpected artistic landmark that adds another dimension to Coaraze's creative identity.

Good to know

Questions guests ask before booking

Where do we start, and at what time?

We pick you up at your hotel, villa or the cruise terminal. Departure is usually between 8:30 and 9:30 - earlier to beat the crowds, later if you are on holiday and it is holiday time.

How is lunch handled?

We book the table, you choose the register: a gastronomic restaurant, a Provençal bistro, or a farm table. Lunch is not included in the tour price so that you keep the choice. Dietary requirements are never a problem - tell us in advance.

What language will the tour be in?

English or French by default. Spanish, Arabic and Berber are also possible - Fouad speaks all five.

Can we combine this with another tour over two days?

Often the best plan. The second day is quoted at a reduced rate.

What happens if the weather turns?

The day shifts without losing its character. We only cancel for genuinely unsafe mountain or sea conditions, and then we reschedule or refund.

How and when do we pay?

You receive a written proposal with a firm price for your group. No deposit is required to hold a date more than a week out. Payment on the day, by card or in cash.

Fouad took us to beautiful out-of-the-way vineyards, and lunch afterwards in Saint-Tropez. He went above and beyond, helping us ship wine back home.Marcus Loy
